Is Leaky Gut to Blame?
Are you struggling with brain fog and mood swings? Are seasonal allergies driving you CRAZY? Perhaps you also have constant tummy troubles too? It may be Leaky Gut!! Messing with your gut health is no laughing matter. That’s because the gut governs 80% of your immune system and creates 95% of your serotonin (the primary neurotransmitter responsible for your 😺mood). And if your gut is on the fritz and goes untreated, it could mean far more serious consequences beyond not producing enough serotonin. So how does your gut GET leaky? Millions of cells line your intestinal tract. These cells create a protective barrier that create a tight barrier between your gastrointestinal tract and the rest of your body – to keep the bad stuff out while letting nutrients pass through and get absorbed into the bloodstream. “Holes” or tears form mostly due to diet, but genes can also play a role (some people are born with inherently weaker gut barriers). In my practice, I mostly see leaky gut caused by unbalanced diets low in fiber (that’s what your good gut bugs need to survive) and high in sugar and saturated fats. All of this causes the gut lining to weaken… and as you age, your gut cells get damaged even more easily due to decreased repair activity. If leaky gut isn’t treated and rages out of control, it allows toxins, microbes, and undigested food particles to leach into your bloodstream. Your immune system then attacks these “foreign invaders” as pathogens, causing your body to be on “high alert”– no wonder you’re moving slow and feel totally inflamed. Endotoxemia is the change in the permeability of the intestinal flora, which allows the passage of lipopolysaccharides (LPS) derived from intestinal bacteria into the bloodstream. These evil guys tell your fat and immune cells to create chronic inflammation in every tissue in the body YIKES!!! LPS has a role in many autoimmune conditions like Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and it’s also linked to obesity and brain disease because of the inflammation it provokes! 😧 Endotoxemia may set the stage for obesity, heart disease, autoimmunity, diarrhea, low sex hormones, and cognitive decline (such as Alzheimer’s Disease), so if you suspect you might have it, see a practitioner like myself who can help you to heal it. In my 4-R program, I teach you how to Remove, Replace, Reinoculate, and Repair your gut…. and I am proud how many of my patients got their sass back!! Sooooo… don’t go this alone (kids, don’t try this alone!) Repairing your gut requires a formula and a lot of know-how regarding the proper foods and supplement protocol. And it’s not just about getting rid of brain fog, stomach aches and other aches and pains. It’s the first step in safe-guarding your health!!! Everyone wants that healthy glow that comes from within (a healthy gut). Get your energy and glow back by learning more about my gut healing program! |
